We stayed here for a week, even though it doesn’t look exactly as the pictures we still had an amazing time. The staff was FANTASTIC! A special shoutout to waiters: Francisco and Elias; Bartenders: Alexis and Jesus and the entertainment team: Moises and Angel. Honestly EVERYONE was so nice but these specific we wanted to give a shoutout to. Every meal we had was good! We didn’t have one bad meal the whole time, it was all great! We would definitely return, it was nice to lounge and relax in the pool.

Great place for the value. It is a dated hotel and need some maintance. The food was good but they can get behind due to people and staff. However the staff worked hard and were friendly. Our room was comfortable, cleaning staff did a great job. We did have a problem with our shower head and they fixed it very quickly. I do get tired of buffet food. Great taco joint across the street up the stairs and to the right. Entertainment was wonderful .

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly, the resort is underrated for the price, and it exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean and a good size, and the food was delicious for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are two restaurants, multiple bars, and it’s just steps from the beach. Daily activities and nightly entertainment kept things fun, and the location is close to the airport, downtown, and the marina, making everything easily accessible. Gray Line Los Cabos is on-site for excursions, and their rep helped me plan a beautiful evening with transportation included. A few tips: bring your own washcloths because the resort only provides hand and bath towels, all forms are in Spanish so having English versions would help, and a welcome drink on arrival would’ve been nice. Overall, I would definitely stay again.

The hotel was not a high-end property but nevertheless had a certain charm to it. I was at the hotel with my wife, but as couples, we felt a little in the minority. Instead, there seemed to an inordinate number of families staying at the hotel who had come from various parts of Mexico to engage in various kinds of celebrations. In my opinion, this was the charm of the hotel as it was affordable enough for these families who added a lot of vibrance to our stay. My only negative opinion would be about the adult pool. The pool itself was nice and in a good location. However, it was apparent that many of its tiles had come loose over the years, and work completed by the person or persons who replaced them was extremely substandard.

First time in Cabo area and we loved it. Stayed one week in early January. The resort is small (about 120 rooms), which we preferred over the mega-resorts. Rooms: Beds smaller than North American queens but comfortable. Clean and with balcony. In-room safe is free but not bolted down but no issues for us. One large water bottle daily; more available on request. Mini fridge not stocked. AC worked well and has a coffee maker. Most rooms face the gardens where most nightly entertainment happens—loud until about 10PM, then quiet. Food: One buffet + one à la carte. buffet offered lots of variety, and fresh options, and theme nights (seafood night was the best). Some repeat dishes but overall impressed. Staff serve drinks and were friendly. Meal windows are long, so even returning late from excursions we could still eat. Resort: There are MANY stairs and only one elevator from lobby to buffet. Guests with mobility issues may struggle. Three pools (two main, one adult). Water not heated but fine. Adult pool has a great view and a proper swim-up bar with stools; main pool has a ledge swim-up. Towels available near giant Jenga. Four bars: lobby, between main pools, garden/entertainment area, and adult pool. Bartenders were great; drink selection good. Entertainment was lively—Paola led most activities and was excellent. Karaoke was a hit. There is a disco behind the buffet (10:30PM–2AM). Fun but not always busy—would be great if they added karaoke there too. Beach: Huge stretch of sand with loungers and beach volleyball. Ocean swimming not allowed here, but many swimmable beaches are a short Uber away. Fewer beach vendors than Medano; I got hair braids from Elvis and highly recommend her. Braids stayed tight for days. Nearby: Lots within walking distance—restaurants (Lateral Crudo y Asado highly recommended), Starbucks, a large supermarket, new City Market (nice but pricey), and Walmart (15-minute walk). Art Walk on Thursdays is worth it—but take an Uber or taxi Staff: Most staff were wonderful, but check-in and check-out need improvement. Check-in agent had limited English, so we mostly learned resort info from other guests. Check-out was frustrating. Checkout is noon and we had a 2:15PM airport pickup (5:45PM flight to YYC). At 10AM I asked about storing bags so we could use the pool until pickup. They removed my bracelet immediately and said I was checked out, even though we hadn’t planned to leave then. Manager Alejandro Castillo gave us a “checkout pass” but was dismissive. Pool staff questioned why I had no bracelet so needed to explain. At noon we returned and were told the only option to stay on property was paying a very high fee for only 1.5 hours. Manager again was very dismissive and said that if we got in early before check in we could have used the resort but not the other way around. He stated it was in the conditions and walked away. That interaction left a bad taste. Overall: Aside from one negative manager encounter, the rest of the staff were great. We would return and recommend the resort—with a heads-up about strict checkout rules.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms and food were good, though the bathrooms could have been more aesthetically pleasing. Overall, the hotel was clean and pleasant. Melissa and Yael, along with almost all the staff, were particularly helpful and friendly.

I loved this resort. I wanted to sneak away for a solo trip during the holiday and my birthday. It was the perfect spot. The staff were amazing. It was not too crowded, and my ocean view room was just what I needed to unwind. There were two restaurants the one indoors had much more variety. The second one you needed a reservation for dinner. All of the food was excellent. I will definitely consider this location again if i return to Cabos.

My husband and I are currently staying here. Before we came here I read reviews and was a little worried. However, since I am here now, I will cover some of the topics complained about. 1. It's a resort, they have entertainment, if you're like us and go to bed early, use white noise on the phone. I don't notice the entertainment lasting past 10pm. This also mitigates the hallway noises. 2. The food is decent. I stick to a pretty basic protein and veggie diet, where my husband is carb happy. We are both food snobs. I haven't noticed one hot dog or chicken finger. I have noticed several options of pasta, salads, meat, bread, etc. the buffet is not a disappointment. 3. The no door to the toilet situation. I discovered that the shower door is that door. You open it enough and there is a stopper on the wall separating the sink room to toilet/shower room. Problem solved. 4. There are two panels for the curtains, which creates blackout. Close them both. 5. The staff here...ALL OF THEM are ridiculously friendly. They smile, say hello, wave, offer help, and even giggle with us about our sunburns haha. We are already planning another trip here at the same time next year, but this time, we are bringing the in-laws. Keep up the amazing work Hotel Decameron. We are happy and satisfied customers. Love the Beers family
